Times Square

Having traveled to New York city for decades, I’ve struggled to find a creative way to capture the visual essence of Times Square, an area that I’m continually drawn to on each visit.

The challenge in creating these images was in capturing a visual sense of energy and movement. On a 2012 visit, I decided to use multiple exposures to render an abstract portrait of the people, architecture, lights, color, billboards and myriad other “street things” that make Times Square such a unique urban landscape
